Easter, 1999

Neosho, Missouri

From eons past, the breath of God

flowed to every man,

(Gen. 2:7; Jn. 1:9)

bringing life and love and power,

(Ps. 8:5,6; 103:4; Rom. 14:17;

I Cor. 4:20; Heb. 7:16; 2 Pet. 1:3; Rev. 12:10)

revealed in His celestial plan.

(Rom. 16:25;I Cor. 2:7; Eph. 3:6-7, 9;

Gal. 3:27-29;Col. 1:26; 2:2-3; II Tim. 1:10)

 He saw the work of His own hand

and called it very good;

(Gen. 1:31)

it grieved His heart when man rebelled,

(Gen. 6:6-7)

but it was always understood

(I Pet. 1:20)

 that when the time was fully come

(Gal. 4:4)

and man's wayward heart prepared,

(Is. 40:3; Mal. 3:1; Matt. 3:3; Mk. 1:3; Lk. 1:76; 3:4)

God's son would come to walk with men;

(Phil 2:6-8)

His life would not be spared.

(Rev. 5:6, 12; 13:8)

 The mystery of the gospel

(I Pet. 1:20-23)

was written there in blood.

(Rom. 5:9; I Pet. 1:19; Rev. 7:14; 12:11)

The cross of Christ, our ark,

(Gen. 6:18-19; Heb. 11:7)

saves us from the flood

  of sin and Satan's power

to inflict the hell of fear and death

(Heb. 2:14-15)

that separates us from life and love

the essence of God's breath.

 Christ gave us back the power

to become the sons of God

(Jn. 1:11-13; Rom. 8:14, 11; Gal. 3:26)

and set us on Mount Zion,

(II Kings 19:31; Ps. 48:2; 125:1; 133:3; Is. 24:23; 31:4; 37:32;

Joel 2:32; Obad. 17; Heb. 12:22; Rev. 14:1)

where angel feet have trod.

 He calls us now to walk with Him

(Rom. 8:4,14; Gal. 5:18)

and in His glory reign

(Rom. 8:17-18; II Cor. 4:17; Eph. 3:13;

Col. 3:4;I Pet. 4:13; 5:1)

until the creation is made whole,

(Acts 3: 21; Rom. 8:21)

and God is all in all again.

(Eph. 1:23; 4: 6,13; 1 Cor. 15:28)
