Deck the hall! Ring the bell!

Find someone whom you can tell

that Christ was born in Bethlehem.

Stop what you're doing, wherever you are.

Rise up shepherd, and follow the star;

follow the star to Bethlehem.

Look for the animals; smell the hay;

the Savior was born in a manger that day,

the manger down in Bethlehem.

Wise men seek Him; only fools pass by.

He brings life which can never die.

His light shines on Bethlehem.

Who is this Savior born that day?

What did the prophets have to say?

That a King would come from Bethlehem.

In the City of David, Christ came to earth,

from the portals of glory to a lowly birth,

in the little village of Bethlehem.

Conceived of a virgin, seed of God,

with angels in glory, we give Him laud,

and remember the town of Bethlehem.

Born in the manger of each heart on earth,

He brings to all men, a second birth.

We are the town of Bethlehem.

Welcome, dear Lord; we have nothing to bring

but praise on our lips and songs to sing,

from your own little town of Bethlehem.
